2010
Started blogging in 2007 with Blogger. I used the classic Minima Black template with some customisation. I had added syntax highlighting.
2018
I purchased the domain name qlambda.com after 2010. The name qλ was taken from the work of Richard P. Gabriel with John McCarthy on a language they initially named Qlambda, later renamed to Qlisp.
In the 1980s, I started working with John McCarthy on a language we called Qlambda. It was a parallel dialect of Lisp that worked off the observation that finding parallelism in Lisp programs would be easy, but controlling excessive parallelism would be hard. We took it as a language design problem. Later, I had a DARPA/ARPA-suported project to implement the parallel constructs in the context of Common Lisp - and we renamed the language Qlisp.
My research group quickly realized that expressing parallel programs was not easy without a radical change in how expressiveness was approached, but the world little noted nor remembers.

I changed the color schemes to this theme in around 2012-13 and it remained the same till 2018. All posts were displayed in full in the home page with pagination. I also had a particles effect added towards the end in the header. It's readable on mobile, but is not mobile friendly. It requires a layout customization for the theme which is difficult because this theme did not have any mobile specific view.
A single post view.
2019
I took down my blog in 2018 and started another one later focusing mainly on iOS. I later imported my previous posts into this blog. This also used Blogger with the Minima Black theme customized. I wanted to try a light theme this time.
2024
I liked the dark theme but didn't want to use my previous theme from 2018. So I used the newer Awesome Inc. theme around 2021 which is mobile friendly. I did not integrate any syntax highlighting. I customized the theme a little bit to suite my liking.
I then moved to Wordpress temporarily. So did not fiddle with themes.
I then moved to static site with theme based on my previous blogger theme.
A post view.
2025
I added comments for posts.
I now added the particles.js effect I was using previously. At that time it appears on all pages. Now it's only on main pages for distraction free reading with enhancements for mobile view.
2026
My old new blog now has a new domain name, tanx.net.
